Webmail is becoming more essential than email client for all businesses due to the fact that users can have direct access to their webmail while they are away from the office or on holiday.
Cybersite support team will introduce new security measures to better protect your webmail and email communication from security treat.
(1) Webmail access with SSL protection.
All communications sent over a site with SSL are securely encrypted, especially your login detail to the Smartermail.
(2) New password Policy
Required at least minimum of 8 characters
Required at least 1 number
Required at least 1 capital letter
Required at least 1 lower case
Required at least 1 symbol
You are advise to update your email account password if your current password does not meet the above requirement before 30th Jun 2018.
Failure to do so will cause your password to be rejected by the Smartermail mail server and you will be prompted for 'Password Rejection' error at your local mail client as well as not being able to login to the WebMail.
(3) SMTP Authentication
You need to turn on the SMTP authentication in your email client (Outlook/Thunderbird and etc) in order to send out the emails from your email client.
